The CSS Propertie math-depth
The math-depth property describes the "depth" of an element in a math formula — used to auto-compute font-size when math-style=compact and font-size=math. E.g. inside fraction numerator/denominator the font is smaller due to larger math-depth.
mfrac > * {
math-depth: auto-add;
}
msub > :nth-child(2),
msup > :nth-child(2) {
math-depth: add(1);
}
min:-9999
max:9999
step:1
units:
auto-addIf parent's math-style is compact, math-depth becomes (inherited + 1). Otherwise inherits parent's value.
add()Takes an integer — adds to the parent's math-depth. Syntax: add(2).
