The CSS Propertie field-sizing
The field-sizing property controls how the browser determines the intrinsic size of form controls (textarea, input, etc.). Allows a control to size to its content instead of using the host language's default preferred size.
textarea {
field-sizing: content;
}
input[type="text"],
textarea {
field-sizing: content;
min-width: 8ch;
max-width: 40ch;
}
fixedUA sets intrinsic size to the default preferred size defined by the host language for the element (default).contentUA determines intrinsic size from the content and ignores the host language's default size. Especially useful for auto-growing textareas.
