מאפיין font-synthesis-small-caps קובע אם הדפדפן רשאי לסנתז small caps כשהפונט לא כולל גליפי small caps אמיתיים. הסינתזה נעשית ע"י הקטנת אותיות גדולות — תוצאה פחות מאוזנת מ-small caps אמיתיות.
